⚔ Operation Watchman
90 Days · Five Readings · Six Disciplines
"I have stationed you as a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from My mouth, give them warning from Me." — Ezekiel 3:17
What this is
Ninety days of focused formation for the Christian man — husband, father, citizen, watchman. Five daily readings draw you through Wisdom literature, the Husband's epistles, the Father's charge, the Citizen's stand, and the Evening Peace. Six disciplines tax the body and protect the mind. A weekly anchor in the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith roots the soul in doctrine, not in sentiment.
Means of grace, not means of merit
These disciplines do not earn you anything from God. Christ has already earned every blessing you will ever receive, and faith receives it as a gift (LBCF 11). The cold shower, the fast, the silenced phone — these are means of grace, ordinary channels through which the Spirit conforms you to Christ (LBCF 13). You will fall. You will fail. You will pick up tomorrow and stand the post again. The streak is not your standing.
Your anchor prayer
Name the one thing you are bringing before God across these 90 days. The promotion. The wandering son. The marriage that has gone cold. The besetting sin. Write it now. You will see it daily. You will pray it until it is answered or until you have the peace that passes understanding about its delay.
